Derek Nolan (born October 1982) is an Irish Labour Party politician.[1][2] He was elected as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Galway West constituency at the 2011 general election.[3]
Nolan won a seat on Galway City Council in June 2009 and was a trainee solicitor when he contested the 2011 general election.[4] He was nominated to succeed Labour Party president Michael D. Higgins in the election to Dáil Éireann, topping the poll in Galway West as a first time candidate.[5]
